Since 1993, NSIA has endorsed Dunbar-Peterson Insurance and Carl Bibb for property/casualty insurance programs designed around the exposure faced by irrigation districts. Coverage is provided through an exclusive agreement with Glatfelter Public Practice, formerly known as Rural Special Districts Insurance Services, one of the largest insurance providers in the United States for entities that treat, distribute or store water. This countrywide program is underwritten by an "A+" (superior) carrier and provides proprietary property and liability insurance coverage.

Dunbar-Peterson Insurance also provides Workers Compensation coverage through the use of several workers Compensation markets. These products are designed to meet the individual district's needs based on payroll size and claims experience.

Group health insurance is provided to several of Nebraska's irrigation districts through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, Principal Life Insurance and Assurant Health. Programs are designed to meet the needs of the individual district.
